Alcohol, Drugs and Smoking Policy


At Sunshine Wood it is vital that all professionals within the setting are alert and not putting themselves or others around the at risk. In order to carry out the job staff should not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.


If staff are on prescribed medication details of this should be given on personal details forms before starting their job role at Sunshine Wood. If the medication changes for any reason the manager should be informed.

Sunshine Wood has a no smoking policy and during your shift will not be allowed to smoke around the setting.

Parents/ careers are also not allowed to smoke around the setting and if they are seen doing this will be asked to move away from the premises.

If the manager believes any staff or customers are under the influence of alcohol or drugs while in the setting they will be asked to leave.
